As part of an ongoing collaboration, Print Clan and Drawing Life are teaming up again for a fun, creative evening event, with life drawing, textile printing and a glass of beer or wine.
What will happen during the workshop?
The evening will begin with a life drawing session where you will create a series of drawings from a life model. The model will sit for a combination of short and long poses in different positions, and the tutor will be on hand to answer questions and give you guidance on your work.
Following this, you will be shown step by step how to translate one of your drawings into a three colour design which you can screen print onto a textile of your choice.
If you've never done screen printing or life drawing before, don't worry, the workshop is suitable for all skills levels. Everyone is welcome, and no previous experience is necessary.
We supply all the materials you need!
Paper, pencils, charcoal and pastels will be available for drawing. For the textile printing, we will supply screens, squeegees, a range of ink colours, newsprint paper, cutting mats and knives. If you have a garment which you would like to print your design onto, you are welcome to bring that along with you!
