Taiko Drumming by Theatre Nemo

Don't miss the rare chance to have a three hour training session with Theatre Nemo who lead Taiko Drumming all over the country with some of the hardest to reach communities!

Taiko Drumming by Theatre Nemo

About Taiko Drumming by Theatre Nemo

Taiko drumming is an ancient form of Japanese percussion and this group session will allow us to explore the rhythm and meditative qualities of this unique art form.

Theatre Nemo are Glasgow Connected Arts Network Members and work extensively within prisons and with ex-offenders. The also specialise in using the arts to engage with people who have a history of mental ill health.

The session will be geared towards practitioners at any level of experience. You do not need to be a drummer or even a musician to come! It’s about learning another language, working with others and building transferable skills for working in the community. Also it’s very fun! Work off some negative energy and meet new people.

Tickets are FREE for anyone aged 16-25. Over 25s £20/£30.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Taiko Drumming by Theatre Nemo are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
