About Pitch Up Play - Free play
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
Pitch Up Play (PUP) will look to fill the gaps in the current sporting provision at a community level. Allowing children to "Pay to Play", we give flexibility, affordability and a focus not on profits, but on children, family, health and affordable facilities for all where they are needed most. Children can hire small
sports courts for blocks of 20 minutes from a few participants to a full Match.
The idea of 16 November is to allow the young children of Glasgow (and families) access to a sport facility for free for the day. There is a purpose built football court, an open space for basketball, football, tennis as well as games and a bouncy castle for under 4's. Children of Springburn & further afield feel that there are no facilities or investment for them. Pitch Up Play is a community driven CIC that delivers a safe environment for children to play, combining health and physical activity in an innovative way and on 16 November we want to deliver this for free. There will be free fruit and water given out. The aim is to to be inclusive for everyone, have fun and give something to the children of Glasgow.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Pitch Up Play - Free play are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
