Places are very limited – there are only 30 spots.
At the Easter Edge, you’ll curate your own experience by choosing four arts from our aerial, acrobatic and flow menu then do a workshop in each of them every day for four days. There are three arts to choose from in each time slot.
You can choose from:
• Flying trapeze + cradle
• Dynamic rope
• Aerial hoop – spins and swings
• Trapeze – static, dance trapeze & Mark’s big tricks
• Silks and rope
• Teeterboard
• Chinese pole
• Doubles trapeze
• Flow arts including hula hoop & rope dart
• Acrobatics, handstands, hand balancing and acrobalance
When we ran the Edinburgh Aerial and Acro Convention, the idea was to try taster sessions in a wide variety of different arts. To evolve beyond that, we're designing this four-day event as a progressive programme.
You and your instructor can choose a specific goal appropriate for your level in any arts where you already have experience. For arts that you haven’t tried before, you can focus on transferring your skills from existing disciplines, or work the basics if it’s completely new to you, and get a solid grip before the weekend’s over.
Once you've got your ticket, you'll curate your own experience in advance by choosing one of the pathways from each time slot in the Courses section of Teamup. So if you decided to do fly, acro, straps and Chinese pole, you'll do those workshops at the same time each of the four days. There's more info on how this works here on the Intensive Training page.
Whatever skills you have at the start, you'll finish up at a higher level. You may be surprised how training your body and mind intensively like this, day after day, can boost your skills.
This is a great opportunity to try new things as well as having a field day with your favourites.
The early bird offer slashes a massive £100 off the ticket so you pay £299 instead of £399. You wouldn't want to miss that – it's only available until Saturday 9th March.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
