Seasonal Hatha Yoga classes with a focus on the breath to help calm the mind and strengthen the body...
These yoga classes pay attention to the time of year as well as the breath and round off with a nice relaxation (savasana), which can take the form of Yoga Nidra or meditation to help the body assimilate the asana practice beforehand.
A typical class will combine a mixture of asanas (posture) followed by pranayama (breathing techniques) and finish with meditation or yoga nidra. Seasonal Yoga classes are tailored to whatever season we are in. We naturally have more energy in the summer so classes will be more dynamic, and we need to restore our energy in the winter so classes will be at a slower pace. This gives a good variety throughout the year. Seasonal Yoga works with nature and incorporates energy work such as Qi Gong and Dao-In (self shiatsu massage)so works in a more subtle level too.
My yoga classes are suitable for complete beginners and seasoned yogis alike as you are guided through the whole practice.
