Young Associates, Glasgow (Aged 15 - 18)

Our Young Associates programme is open to students in school years 10 to 13 considering careers in a broad range of subjects for which drawing from observation provides an important foundation. As well as fine art, these subjects include graphic and product design, illustration, fashion and textiles, film-making, animation, architecture, photography and engineering among many others.

Delivered by professional artists, this is a course for school students who want to develop and expand their fine art practice through drawing from observation. Progressing through a series of rigorous drawing classes, students will develop their ability to control a range of materials and to sustain focussed concentration. Help with the preparation of portfolios is offered in a termly one to one tutorial and associates attending a full year will be eligible for participation in an annual exhibition.

The Royal Drawing School is committed to making all courses offered affordable and available to those who have a passion and aptitude for drawing. Therefore we offer a number of 50% and 100% means-tested scholarships for each course. We welcome applications from all students who feel that the Associates programme would benefit their studies and broaden their opportunities.
