Inspired by the great George Orwell’s 1984 and featuring Junction 25’s unique autobiographical style, 5.9 million explores ideas of surveillance and its role in the lives of young people today. Who are we watching, who is watching us, and where does all the information go?
Junction 25 is a critically acclaimed contemporary theatre company for 11-18 year olds and is co-produced by Tramway and Glas(s) performance. Some of Junction 25’s previous productions include Anoesis, I Hope My Heart Goes First (a sell-out show at Edinburgh Fringe in 2011). In 2014 the company completed a national tour of Figment (2013) and presented their new show I’d Rather Humble Than Hero at Tramway.
