The first of the two record-breaking pizzas will be created at Silverburn, Glasgow, on October 2nd, while Union Square in Aberdeen will serve up its gargantuan Margherita on October 10th.
Each free-to-attend “Pizza Party” is part of Silverburn and Union Square’s Student Sessions events - an annual occasion designed for students at the start of term, featuring DJs, exclusive retailer discounts, entertainment and goodie bags.
David Pierotti, General Manager at Silverburn, said: “It’s no secret that pizza is a favourite food staple for students – and with October being National Pizza Month, what better way to welcome students to Silverburn than with a free slice of our finest Margherita.”
Silverburn boasts eight pizza restaurants, including Pizza Express, Tony Macaroni, Pizza Hut and Prezzo, who will come together to create the record-breaking pizza next week (October 2nd). Participating restaurants at Union Square, who will roll out the 5-metre creation on October 10th, include Mozza, Pizza Express and Prezzo.
Ryan Manson, General Manager at Union Square, said: “Aberdeen is set to welcome students from across the world, but one thing is universal – their love of pizza! I’m sure students will be eager to scoff a slice of free pizza and enjoy the many fantastic discounts and games on offer as part of Union Square’s Student Sessions.”
Each and every student who shows up to the centre and presents their matriculation card will be able to enjoy a slice while stocks last. One lucky student who attends will also be in with a chance of winning free pizza for a year courtesy of Pizza Express.
