On Thursday 21st November, guests can strike it lucky on a first-come, first-served basis with one game of bowling available per person between Midday and 5pm.
With four state-of-the-art bespoke bowling lanes, powered by next-generation technology that includes automated bumpers, high tech Vector HD scoring and sophisticated neon lights that can be tailored to each player, Bowlarama sets a new standard for ten pin bowling and fun.
Fully licensed with a quirky Tiki bar, comfortable snug and 80 cover restaurant serving up comfort food, cocktails and snacks, the alternative late-night venue is open every night until 3 am, and every detail has been considered for guests to enjoy the spacious and creative surroundings.
Not just bowling, fun-seekers will love their collection of retro arcade game machines which include Street Fighter II and Maximum Tune, alongside air hockey, and the ultimate dunking challenge - a two-player NBA Basketball Hoops game.
Independently operated by restaurateur Ian McColm, who opened Tiki Bar and Kitsch Inn on Bath St in 2010, the new bowling alley is a unique concept for Glasgow city centre, with bookings rolling in so far.
Ian McColm explains: “We wanted to create a bold and fun space with a relaxed environment for Glasgow to enjoy.
“We’ve had a fantastic response from the city. A lot of bookings, enquiries and general excitement for the smashing of our bowling lanes.
“Whether you’re looking for somewhere new to go for a bite to eat after you finish work with your colleagues, a few cocktails and a bowl on a date, or for lounging in our arcade, Bowlarama offers something for everyone.”
The new venue has also launched a midweek treat for foodies, who can pick up a juicy homemade beef patty, breaded chicken, or mixed bean burger in a toasted floury bap with salad, house fries and a game of bowling for only £12.5 between 12 and 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
Bowlarama is now open and is located at 20 Glassford St, Glasgow G1 1UL and open from 12 noon until 3 am seven nights a week.
