Late December and early January are key booking periods for holidaymakers looking to beat the January blues and bag peak summer holiday dates at the best prices. The first Saturday of the year, better known as Sunshine Saturday, is famously the most popular day for non-domestic holiday bookings in the year, and 2020 was expected to be no different according to Macdonald Resorts.
Last year, the holiday provider saw a flurry of Sunshine Saturday bookings resulting in the busiest week in the whole first half of the year, only to be topped by last-minute holiday bookings in June. This year Macdonald Resorts has doubled up on deals over this period to help out those desperate for a break in the new year.
Incentives such as a £49 booking deposit on holidays means families can plan their getaway early without feeling the pinch post-Christmas. There’s also up to 20% discount on all bookings made before the end of January for the peak spring and summer dates with family holidays starting from just £68 per night throughout Spain and the UK.
Located in areas of unrivalled beauty, from the sunny coast of Costa del Sol to the rolling hills of the Scottish Highlands, Macdonald Resorts provide perfect locations for flexible self-catering family breaks, golfing trips and beach holidays.
In addition to the spring and summer deals there’s also the popular annual Winter Sale. Perfect for those looking to get away in the months following Christmas with 30% off all resorts for arrivals before the end of March. The sale always proves popular with those looking for a little winter sun on the Costa del Sol and, in contrast is a busy time for winter sports enthusiasts heading to the Highlands for snow.
Winter Sale rates start from £63 per night in the UK and £64 per night in Spain, per one bedroom apartment (sleeping up to four) and must be taken before 31 March, 2020. Excludes February half-term dates. Book by 31 January 2020 to take advantage of Winter Sale offers.
Spring and summer holidays start from £68 per night per one bedroom apartment (sleeping up to four) and must be taken between 1 April and 30 September 2020. Make sure to book by the end of January 2020 to claim great rates on your ultimate family holiday in 2020.
