Creative Sundays are fun and informal taster workshops inpired by the museum collections. Why not try a new craft in these one-day workshops. No previous experience needed all materials are provided.
We advise people to bring a packed lunch as there is no cafe facility.

29th March: Leatherwork
Discover examples of this ancient craft then learn some of the basic techniques to produce a simple tooled leather pouch.
19th April: Tin Can Sculptures
Be inspired by our sculpture collection then try and create your own sculpture out of tin. This workshop shows you how to use recyclable materials to make art work.
24th May: Tote Bags
Explore our Natural History collection and be inspired by the patterns and shapes to design and create your own tote bag.
14th June: Sew Happy!
Explore some of the embroidery pieces then learn some basic embroidery techniques. If you are currently working on any projects of your own please bring them along.
19th July: Jewellery Making
Explore and handle some of our amazing jewellery collection then have a go at making your own piece of jewellery to take home.
9th August: Glass Etching
Discover our collection of decorative glassware then design and hand etch your own pattern onto a glass drinking vessel.
