About BTA - Glasgow Tinnitus Support Group Meeting
BTA Glasgow Tinnitus Support Group
The Pentagon Centre
Suite 316, 3rd Floor
36 Washington Street
Tinnitus and related conditions are particular to the individual person. Research has suggested that what might work for one tinnitus sufferer may not be as effective for another.
You can access treatments from the NHS, the private sector and through self-help. The BTA – Glasgow & West of Scotland Tinnitus Support Group shares members' experiences, talks through treatments and latest evidence as per the BTA's guidelines.
In sharing stories we look to support members by showing them that they are not alone. Many other people have overcome similar obstacles. This shows that tinnitus and hyperacusis need not control your life. Even the smallest of changes can make a huge impact on your quality of life.
The group is run by Alan Hopkirk, a tinnitus specialist and Clinical Director of The Invisible Hearing Clinic. He regularly attends worldwide conferences and seminar to update his knowledge on the latest in tinnitus research and treatments and will facilitate the meeting, adding his knowledge and expertise where applicable.
