This one day course will give you a basic insight into the art of Life Casting
Suitable for complete beginners, in the first half of the day will focus on taking a life cast of the face and neck using alginate and plaster bandages. The remainder of the day will be spent turning that casting into a stone positive. Theory and techniques of lifecasting other body parts will be discussed and demonstrated throughout the day.
This hands-on workshop will be made up of a small number of students working in pairs so that everyone will have an opportunity to be cast and take home a positive of their own face.
**Anybody NOT wanting to be life cast should let us know in advance and we will try and arrange for a model**
