Design: Lines and Balance

In this one-day workshop at Studio Pavilion, participants will explore the process behind making their own repeat patterns, taking inspiration from nature’s simplified botanical forms.

Design: Lines and Balance

About Design: Lines and Balance

Here you will learn how to overlay and tessellate simple cut-out style motifs to build up your own elaborate, interlocking composition, creating arrangements which mirror and complement the mathematics of repetition found within nature.

An exploration into colour and form, this class is also suitable for those with little or no previous drawing experience.

Participants will leave the class with their own large scale, high quality, original painted design, suitable for digital transferal into print on either wallpaper or textile pieces for the home.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Design: Lines and Balance are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
