About Silverburn A Year of Reading The World Book Club

Listed Under Books Events

We meet every month to discuss books from around the world. We meet in various cafes and coffee shops in the Silverburn, for specific venue info, please register at www.meetup.com/silverburnworldliteraturebookclub/.

It was Vera Nazarian who wrote 'Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light'.

The World literature Book club will endeavour to tap into that light. The rules are simple. No British or American literature. Russian, European, African, or whatever, but lets stay clear of the familiar. Stretch the mind. Books will be democratically voted for at each meeting. Each member will propose a book and we will vote on it.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Silverburn A Year of Reading The World Book Club are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
