About If Angels Cast Shadows... New Paintings

A Graduate of Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, Stuart Duffin RE RSA SSA is a Master Print-maker & Painter whose work explores the theme of conflict and resolution with both science and religion.

Founded in 1969, Compass Gallery is one of Scotland’s longest established contemporary Art galleries.

It is renowned for is support of talented new graduates as well as more established artists and it presents a monthly programme of contemporary exhibitions including one-man shows, mixed themed shows and our celebrated New Generation Show. The New Generation shows which takes place immediately after the Art School degree shows are especially noteworthy. Without fail every year since 1969 the gallery has travelled to Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow scouting out fresh talent and providing added encouragement to art graduates giving them their first ever taste of the outside gallery world.

The gallery has a very friendly atmosphere, where the informed staff can share their knowledge, enthusiasm and understanding to all visitors.
