Mindfulness & Photography

Looking for ways to be creative with your health? Want to engage with mindfulness practices whilst also enjoying nature and photography? You've come to the right place!

Mindfulness & Photography

About Mindfulness & Photography

Enjoy a morning of meditations and taking photos whilst being in the beautiful Glasgow Botanic Gardens! We’ll hopefully enjoy (weather permitting!) the session outdoors, so bring appropriate clothing to keep dry and warm, however, if the questionable Scottish weather decides to not play ball, we’ll make the most of the lovely, cosy, indoor areas and greenhouses.

What to expect?
A short introduction to mindfulness meditation
Practicing two meditations together
Taking mindful photos of the gardens, flowers, and nature
Periods of quite to savour the present moment and focus
Meeting like-minded people

For Testimonials from previous sessions, please visit www.kay-young.co.uk

Why is this event free? (other than booking free)
This session is part of the Knows No Bounds social enterprise initiative and runs on a Pay It Forward Model.

That means:

Your place has been paid for by someone who’s taking part in a previous session
To book your place, all you need to pay is a small booking fee
There’s an opportunity for you to donate money on the day in cash into a donation box
This is to ‘pay it forward’ to someone else - give them the opportunity to take part in future
This will allow the event to go to other areas and spread this further and wider
The amount is up to you – please pay what you can, and what you are able to.
A recommended amount is £15.00

My passion is mindfulness, and I look forward to sharing it with you!

FAQs
Is there a minimum age requirement to take part in the session?

The meditation will last a minimum of 15 minutes; if any young people are attending, they must be okay to sit quietly for this amount of time. Any young people must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the session.

I don't have a fancy camera - can I still come along?
Of course!!! No fancy cameras required - you can use your phone :)

What do I need to bring along?
Please wear appropriate clothing suitable for the weather to keep you warm and dry (it's Scotland after all!) and please bring a device suitable to take photos with. No drinks will be provided, but there are plenty options nearby if you're wanting a coffee or drink.
