About The Cobbler - Walk of Hope for Brain Tumour Research
The Cobbler is one of the Southern Highlands most iconic hill walks. So called for its distinctive shape. The route is a challenging 7 miles and has a fairly steep ascent. We estimate it will take between 4 and 6 hours to complete, and at the peak there should be magnificent views of Loch Lomond and beyond. Pray for clear skies!
The walk starts in Arrochar near the head of Loch Long. We’ve teamed up with the Slanj pub in Tarbet again. They’re kindly providing us with free parking and food and a drink to come back to!
There are many camp sites, hotels and B&Bs nearby, or you can park your campervan at the Slanj free of charge.
The Slanj are offering to keep us well-nourished on the day, for just £5 with a bacon roll before we start at 10 O'Clock and hearty soup and roll at the end
Please wear walking boots/shoes and suitable clothing. It’s always a good idea to bring a waterproof in case of rain, water to keep yourself hydrated and sun cream in case it is a hot day. Dogs on leads welcome.
This walk is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
To take part, please register below - £10 per adult, £30 per family of 4, includes t-shirts and finishers medals.
If you can raise £100, you can help us to achieve our target of £80,000 and get us closer to a cure.
