Grow With Music

About Grow With Music

This year includes exciting new activities such as Beatboxing, Building your own band sessions and Songwriting workshops.

This is a 10 week programme and can be accessed at any point by local young people interested in getting involved in music activities. An end of programme showcase event will be organised to celebrate the success of all of those who have taken part. See below for more details:

Build your own Band (12 - 16 years)
Saturdays 12.15pm - 1.45pm
Participants will be given the opportunity to participate in guitar lessons, songwriting/vocal and drumming/percussion workshops, bi-weekly jam sessions and tips on recording led by special guest tutors/musicians within the project rounded off with a professional recording session at end of the 10 weeks. Participants will also be given the opportunity to design their EP cover sleeve through a special art session from Mind and Draw.

The aim of the project is to gather music-minded individuals to collaborate, jam together, socialise, and partake in building stronger connections in a group setting through starting a band - essentially 'banding together'.
