Walk with a Doc: Parent and Baby

About Walk with a Doc: Parent and Baby

Dr Laura Freeman is pleased to offer a special Mummy & Baby friendly ‘Walk With a Doc’. It is open and free to all mums or caregivers and their babies/toddlers.

Mums will enjoy a short presentation on a relevant health topic at Soul Food Kitchen followed by an easy and rejuvenating walk with Dr Laura around Kelvingrove Park.

Dr Laura Freeman, a GP and certified Lifestyle Medicine doctor is encouraging local mums to take a step toward better postnatal health. This is a great way to connect with other mums and get exercising again in a fun and easy way.

Why walk? “There’s no question that increasing exercise, even simply by walking, reduces the risks of so many diseases, including heart disease, breast and colon cancer and type 2 diabetes,” said Dr Freeman. “Research has shown that it can boost your mood. promote strong social connections and even reverse the sign of brain ageing - it really is a great medicine!”

Soul Food Kitchen is delighted to collaborate with Dr Laura on this project; their values of health and wellness through diet and lifestyle are aligned perfectly.

This is a free event simply register to attend.
