What is CALM? The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK and the cause of 18 deaths every day.
To raise awareness and to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause the community will walk as one and travel on foot all around Glasgow and will pass by the city's best beer bars in a massive walking challenge.
10.5 miles. 17 venues. One community.
We start in the west end of town at Six Degrees North in Partick and end at Sweet Recreation in Shawlands for an end celebration of walking so far.
The route itself will see us walk in order of venues:
Six Degrees North
Innis & Gunn Brewery Taproom
Shilling Brewing Co
WEST On The Green
The Allison Arms
Phillies Of Shawlands
The following venues will be rest stops and will have something going on that day. Check their social media for what is happening. These venues are:
The walk leaves Six Degrees North approx 12.30 with an expected finish time of entering Sweet Recreation at approximately 5.30pm.
We are hoping that each venue supports the on the day activity and we get a group selfie outside each bar location.
A link for donating to the charity will be posted here soon. Looking to make this a fun day.
