After two years of presenting devised works and with this being their final act at the Tron, the current Young Company have been working with Artistic Director, Andy Arnold to stage classic and not-so-classic pieces of comedy theatre. Writers including N. F. Simpson, Harold Pinter and Alan Ayckbourn provide brilliant material for an in-the-round series of theatre scenes with extraordinary dialogue.
The audience will find themselves seated on stage surrounding the actors to observe their performances stripped back and up close. The delivery of these superbly dry and witty text excerpts - some of which are now part of the iconic canon of twentieth century absurd and existential theatre, will be underscored by live music, adding to the sheer theatricality.
A new experience for the Young Company and for Andy Arnold himself. Expect the unexpected.
