Glasgow CAN's #CreativeConnect sessions are designed to be an informal way to connect with other Creatives, Participatory Artists and Organisations in Glasgow. Each month we facilitate some relaxed networking activities and bring on board a guest speaker who delivers a 20 minute talk at the event about their practice, project or organisation, giving you the opportunity to learn and ask questions. It's the perfect environment to connect with peers, meet new faces and strengthen your network and knowledge of what's happening in the world of Participatory Arts. You do not have to be a Glasgow CAN member to join in.
This Nov, Samantha McGregor, the artist and facilitator behind Funkyard Arts, will share with us how working in partnership with Woodlands Community Garden has given her the opportunity to connect not only with the local community but also to participate within a broader more international programme of events around COP26. Samantha was funded through GCAN's Youth Arts Small Grant Scheme to deliver a project in partnership with Woodlands Community Garden. Samantha will discuss how the project brings together community, art and activism by encouraging young people to make banners to protest climate change for COP26.
This event is FREE. You do not need to be a member of Glasgow CAN to attend. If you have any specific access requirements such as a BSL interpreter please email info@glasgowcan.org or call 07595554579 and leave a message with contact information and we will get back to you if we can't answer the call. Please allow at least one week for us to make these arrangements for you to attend.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
