A Lad In Govan - A Socially Conscious Panto!

About A Lad In Govan - A Socially Conscious Panto!

Join Aladdin, Widow Twankey and Wishee Washee in their home town of Govan where they are soon to swap the streets of Glasgow for the Pyramids of Egypt on an unexpected and exciting adventure...

Widow Twankey's launderette isn't doing too well, Wishee Washee is up to mischief and to top it all off Aladdin has gone and fallen in love with a Princess! Will he be able to make his wishes come true and defeat the wicked Abanazar? Come and join us for the first ever Govan Community Panto from Pearce Institute and Halo Arts this festive season to find out.

The show is a collaboration between community arts organization Halo Arts, known for their youth theatre programme, community events and work in schools across Glasgow and Pearce Institute, a large south side venue which works to encourage training and employment, promoting Govan as a centre for the creative and media industries, while cherishing the roots and heritage of the community.
