This class will be taught online and you can take part from the comfort of your own home. The RCS campus will re-open in September with a limited capacity for degree students only to ensure a safe learning environment for all.
Whether you are interested in stage management, lighting, sound or stage technology, this two-part course will prepare you for your interview and hopefully make the process seem less daunting. The course is run via two 2-hour online classes – during the first session you will be given a task to complete for the second.
Designed and led by Ros Maddison, Head of Production, you will examine how to prepare for the Production Technology and Management interview and the associated tasks required as part of the interview process including:
- The process of applying
- Preparing your portfolio and personal statement
- How to prepare for interview questions
- What to look for in the performance visit Interview Task
- How to approach the creative response Interview Task
You will also have a chance to have your own individual questions about the application process answered and get feedback on any materials you have prepared for your portfolio.
Although this course specifically prepares students for audition at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, it provides skills and experience transferable to other contexts.
