Simple Massage Techniques for Self and Friends

About Simple Massage Techniques for Self and Friends

This workshop will offer some practical skills for nourishing ourselves and each other with massage. These tools can be used on ourselves or on friends.

Drawing on reflexology, which maps the whole body onto the feet and hands, and other body massage techniques we’ll learn several practices to ease tension and support our bodies to restore.

Everything will be taught as self-massage, but adaptions will be offered for partner or group work. All of the practices will be flexible to suit various abilities.

Please bring a hexagonal pencil if possible and get in touch if you want to ask about anything ahead of the workshop.

In the past, event leader Ju has run workshops that draw on various movement practices to support, nourish and sustain. Using techniques that ground and soothe the body and or invigorate the body, that can be learnt and shared with friends. Their intention is to support our communities to have collective tools for embodiment and resilience.
