Xmas Party Heroes is encouraging people to donate the unused cost of their Xmas party to a charity of your choice #XmasPartyHeroes? Although this is a hard time for so many business sectors some are still continuing to do well and we do hope they will be able to support this campaign.
As a charity our work has been significantly affected by the restrictions this year but we have been working tirelessly to deliver essential services to older people across Glasgow. With our day centres and social clubs being closed since March we have diverted our attention to delivering contactless essentials packs direct to older people in the city. Our befriending team is making calls to provide company for people as well as checking on their welfare. We have developed an App which is free to download and available to everyone. The App is packed with activities, exercises, music and quizzes to keep older people busy, active and entertained. We have, when restrictions allowed, delivered tablets to people so they could access the App. We will continue to provide these vital services for as long as the pandemic continues but we need funding to help us to do so.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Christmas Party Heroes are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
