Are you planning to audition for drama school/college? Are you curious about what the application process is like? Find Your Light Theatre School is hosting a free/pay what you can Zoom workshop for drama school applicants/future applicants (16+) to meet and share their work.
The workshop will be really chilled and will offer each participant a chance to get what they want out of the workshop. You might want to perform some of your chosen pieces for the group and get some feedback. You might not know where to begin with finding material that is right for you. You might be looking for a way to boost your confidence and would like to ask questions about what the application process for drama school entails, and how to prepare. Whatever you need help with, we can tackle it together.
A bit about Katie, who is running the event: I graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2016 and have been performing professionally since then, including in London’s West End. In all honesty, I was pretty clueless when it came to applying and auditioning for colleges. It took several failed attempts and cringe worthy auditions before I landed a place. I know how much time, energy and money goes into applications, and I think meeting other people in the same boat, and getting help from someone who has been through it, could be beneficial.
The workshop is free/pay what you can, with a suggested donation of £10.
To sign up, please email katiebarnett4@gmail.com or findyourlightts@gmail.com. You can also find us on Facebook @findyourlightts.
Please do share far and wide with anyone who may benefit from this. Spaces will be limited and are already filling up, so get in touch asap if you are interested.
