'AARG, the Autistic Artists Research Group, was set up at the end of 2019 with the aim of exploring the Glasgow Museums and Art Galleries managed by Glasgow Life.
With a focus on accessibility for autistic adults the plan was to make a series of videos to demonstrate their findings. After a course of training workshops with video production company Media Co-op, the group were about to begin their research visits when the coronavirus struck and lockdown began. This put an end to the original plan with the museums and galleries but what happened in its place was a project that kept the artists creative and productive for the rest of 2020 and into 2021.
The group have been meeting online weekly for the past eleven months and now have more than 50 videos on their YouTube channel (Autistic Artists Research Group )
In this event the group will show and talk about some of these and also launch their latest project where they have each recreated a scene from a well known movie'.
