Join Fine Flavour Tastings for an hour of mindful cacao fun! This isn’t your average chocolate tasting; fine-flavour chocolate is premium grade stuff. The cacao (and other ingredients) used are of the highest quality and are sustainably sourced from around the world. You will learn about how bean-to-bar chocolate is made, about how it differs from standard candy bars, and (of course) how to taste it like a pro!
Each of the 3 UK-made bars we will taste has its own unique qualities that highlight differences in variety, region, and technique, and your host will guide you through experiencing these nuances during this live tasting session. Each ticket includes 3 full-size chocolate bars, tasting guides, and a note-taking sheet so that you can jot down any favourites, surprises, and (if you’re like your cacao-nerdy host) notes. All chocolate bars are plain dark chocolate that are dairy-free and vegan; the ingredients include cacao, cocoa butter, and various types of sugar (sorry, no substitutions).
This tasting will be hosted by Cassandra, a chocolate aficionado whose love of the craft chocolate began where the movement kicked off: in her home country, the USA. Since then, she’s explored the world through both cacao and chocolate makers from across the globe. She has been amassing chocolate knowledge for years as she has tasted, read about, and sold single-origin, bean-to-bar, and fine-flavour cacao, chocolate bars, and chocolates. The result of this *ahem* research is a multi-sensory chocolate tasting that uses all five senses, and incorporates gratitude, for an experience that is fun, educational, and fulfilling.
All tastings are hosted on Google Meet from Fine Flavour Tasting’s home base in Glasgow, UK. You will receive a link to attend the event via Eventbrite. The chocolate bars will be mailed directly to your chosen shipping address, and as a default you will receive digital copies of all tasting guides and note-taking sheets via Google Drive. If you would like to receive printed copies of the tasting guides with your shipment of chocolate bars, please select this add-on at checkout. The chocolate bars on offer may differ from those pictured in this listing due to changes in availability.
*Please note: All bookings close 2 weeks prior to the event to allow ample time for the shipping and receipt of the chocolate bars. Book today to ensure your spot! Refunds are available up to 2 weeks before the event date, minus the Eventbrite processing fee (this fee does not come to me, so I am unable to refund it).
*This tasting is open to residents of the UK only. For private and custom chocolate tastings (open to groups of 4-10 people, family, friends, colleagues, societies…you name it, we can make it work!), please contact the host directly to enquire, or book directly on Fine Flavour Tastings' Calendly site: https://calendly.com/fineflavourtastings.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
