Are you looking to try a new sport? Do you want to meet a new group of people and have a safe space to socialise while learning a new skill? In conjunction with LEAP Sports Festival Fortnight, Glasgow Raptors RFC is proud to present our FREE ‘Intro to Rugby Bootcamp’, on June 20th (starting at 13:00) at Clydebank Community Sports Hub.
Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend this event – absolutely zero experience is required, and we encourage beginners to join in!
With help from our friendly coaching team, you will have the opportunity to learn the core skills of rugby union in a safe and encouraging environment. Those newly learned skills will then be put to the test with an exciting game of touch rugby. The event will wrap up with a social Pride Picnic, in celebration of LGBT Youth Scotland’s Pride campaign ‘Reconnect – Celebrate – Donate’.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss all thing rugby and inclusive sports with our wider membership over some food and beverages (these will be provided by the club and will be conscious of dietary needs). As the city’s only inclusive rugby team, we strive to provide a platform which champions LGBT+ excellence in sports and use our voices to fight for equality. Join us this summer and try something new - we look forward to seeing you there!
NOTE: ‘Intro to Rugby Bootcamp’ will follow the most recent COVID-19 guidelines. Safety is a top priority, so you can be assured that this event will run in a manner which is in line with guidance provided by the Scottish Government. Details of this event are subject to change as a result of COVID-19. Glasgow Raptors RFC will ensure that any changes will be communicated clearly and in a timely manner. If you have any questions or concerns, then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us through our social media channels.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
