The Engine Has Many Parts is an exercise in collective writing. Taking the space of a mechanics garage as a prompt we will write as a group to create shared texts which explore the greasy depths of these spaces which are fuelled by functionality and failure.
Working like mechanics we will each take different components of the text and create a chassis, someone will press the brakes, someone will breathe through the gears, someone will grease the axel. Eventually we will force a collective nudge towards movement as we rumble off the forecourt and into the printed world.
