The project aims to reinstate Alexander Thomson’s decorative interiors to show visitors how the house would have looked in the 1860s when it was new. It also shows how Thomson took a whole house approach to design, the exterior and interior working in harmony.
Be inspired by the creative choices of Thomson and the bold design schemes while you learn about the work that our experts have carried out to preserve it.
Our shop will be open and our tearoom will operate on a takeaway service. All the profits from our shop and tearoom go towards the valuable work of the National Trust for Scotland at Holmwood House.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
