The witches are gathering...
Twelve-year-old Rab spends all of his time doing back-breaking work on his family’s farm instead of attending school, but when he finds a hag stone in one of the fields, everything changes.
Looking through its circular hole, he sees witches gathering in a coming storm, and they’ve set their sights on his family.
Can Rab save his sisters from the clutches of the witches’ coven before their ceremony in the auld kirk?
Filled with mystery and magic, Hag Storm is a spooky historical adventure with a supernatural twist based on the life of Robert Burns.
Join author Victoria Williamson for an interactive book launch for eight to fourteen-year-olds to explore the characters and folklore in Hag Storm. With book readings, activities, and Halloween fun for all the family, this event will be a great start to the weekend’s festivities, as well as providing a thought-provoking insight into the life of the young Robert Burns.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. This is a FREE event but tickets must be reserved as there will be a limited capacity in operation.
Suitable for ages 8-14.
This event will take place within the Robertson Room located in the main museum building on Murdoch's Lone.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
