His love of vintage R&B and effortless ability to re-create it makes Geraint Watkins one of the most in-demand all-rounders in the business.
He has recorded and performed with a cream-of-the-crop line-up including Nick Lowe, Van Morrison, Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings, Andy Fairweather Low, Mark Knopfler, Paul McCartney Status Quo and Eric Clapton. He has fronted many great bands as well from The Dominators in the late ‘70s to The Balham Alligators. Watkins is also a song-writer who’s admired by others, having had his material covered by Don McLean, Pokey LaFarge and Dave Edmunds.
His band, hand-picked hot shots who are all in the same groove, is for many, as good as it ever gets.
