Mànran is Gaelic for “melodic sound” and since songstress Kim Carnie joined the line-up in 2019, her gorgeous vocals have coalesced gloriously with their trademark mix of trad and modern instrumentals. Having played in over 30 countries, this multifaceted musical powerhouse have a worldwide following and are always a huge draw at Celtic Connections. After marking their 10th anniversary during 2021, they’re back live on-stage setting hearts ablaze with their rousing tunes and beautiful songs.

Irish alt-folk act Moxie offer a contemporary take on traditional music and describe their sound as “a colourful illustration of the world we live in today”. After touring the world, including a state visit to Vietnam, they recently released second album, The Dawn of Motion: a heady mix of vibrant folk and thrilling avant-garde influences.
