About Gillebride MacMillan - Freumhan Falaichte - Hidden Roots
Performing self-penned songs from his highly acclaimed album Freumhan Falaichte – Hidden Roots, South Uist born singer – and bard of Outlander – Gillebrìde MacMillan deals with a range of personal, cultural and political issues, linking Gaelic song with contemporary rhythms and arrangements.
For this performance Gillebrìde is joined by a stellar cast of musicians – Fraser Fifield on whistle and kaval, Ewan MacPherson on guitar and Donald Hay on percussion.
