This year we're doing a the Icebox Shop Costume challenge, or in Glaswegian ICEBOAX SHOAP COSTUME CHALLANGE... the shop being the Icebox very own!
The performers, who have chosen to accept this task without a clue what's going on... until now.
What is this challenge?
To make an act in 1 day and be crowned the thrifty..ist swifty..ist ..uhhh.. crafty...ist performer of the day. It's that simple, and we promise we'll come up with a better title.
What are the rules?
Each performer will be given some Icebox buck's to spend in there magnificent and diverse selection of donated clothing and goods in the Icebox shop... and when we say diverse they literally have EVERYTHING in there.
Each performer can bring there own undergarments, shoes and pasties.
They can ONLY use items bought within there budget... Simon and Jamie will be on hand to bargain.
There music must ALSO come from the Icebox's shop selection...trust us there's some belters.
They will of course be supplied sewing materials and some basics.
The more tickets and donations the more they have to spend.
We'll be keeping you updated online all day, or why not come on down to the Icebox from 2.00pm, it's entry by donation till 5.00pm.
You can browse there goods yourself, check out our stall holders and we'll also be showing some of favourite shows from from around the globe which where recorded in lockdown.
7.00pm- Doors open to evening show!
Our evening show will kick off, with each performer strutting there stuff in there new, and no doubt INCREDIBLE costumes, we'll also have a few guest performers and a wonderful panel of ...um...experts...aye we'll go wae that, it could just be Roxy's Maw who knows? Roxy doesnae.
