How much do you love gin?
Enough to sell the shirt off your own back? Your body? Your soul? At the height of London’s Gin Craze of 1750, women sold what they could to fuel their gin addiction.
Come and sip your way through the history of the juniper berry with our ultimate gin experience, a ‘sin’ and tonic afternoon in the seedy backroom of Millport’s most notorious spirit producers.
Experience some ‘spiritous’ entertainment with Madame Judith Defaux, reputable server of a 'drop of the ‘ard stuff’, and her sometimes able assistant Mistress Sally Swally (Sal), as they take you back in time to the drudgery and squalor of Victorian backstreets for a look at the rise and fall of gin. Taste the result of hundreds of years of gin production as Madame Defaux demonstrates some delectable cocktail concoctions from the backroom kitchen still.
£45, includes a welcome gin and tonic, 2 cocktails, an assortment of canapes and a cocktail glass and recipes to take home.
Gather a group of friends together in Millport for this fabulous gin experience. Space is limited. Book 'A Taste of Mother's Ruin' from our website tour page.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
