Join us in some friendly bidding on fabulous artworks from local Glasgow artists & makers, enjoy drinks & pals in our gallery space, and show your support for the millions of Ukrainian refugees forced to suddenly flee their homes and cities since Russia’s unthinkable invasion and war of aggression.
This event is fundraising for the “Czasoprzestrzeń” Cultural Center in Wrocław, Poland. Overnight, this arts and cultural centre in Wrocław, Poland transformed into a vital support hub to provide emergency housing, electricity, sanitary products, medicine, clothing, etc. for now over 8,000 Ukrainian refugees each day. They are in dire need of funds to continue providing safety and ensuring basic needs are met for the thousands of women, children, and disabled and elderly refugees that continue to arrive in Wrocław daily.
You can Follow them on Facebook, Instagram & Youtube- & Watch this video to learn about their refugee support efforts - Tratwa For Ukraine - Walk with Giselly.
Across Europe, thousands have paused their lives to volunteer, host, and help in any way they can. We in the Glasgow arts community can help these local efforts by raising essential funds, and showing our solidarity with the victims of this abhorrent war through our arts.
We hope you will share in this evening of drinks, art, and Glaswegian solidarity Saturday, April 23rd, from 15:00-21:00. Pop in or register here on Eventbrite to let us know you’re coming!
