Anyone housebound or home-based can join in a free discussion about climate change via Scotland’s only online u3a. On Monday 2 May at 4pm, Dr Morris Bradley offers insights for people who care about the damage being done to the natural world and its climates. This is the fourth talk in a series of Coffee House style chats. It’s an armchair opportunity to learn new things and take part virtually in important debates. The free zoom link via u3a: Online Across Scotland (OAS) is us02web.zoom.us
Scottish u3a trustee and u3a OAS founder, Ann Keating said: “People want the facts on topical issues from a credible source. Our online u3a sessions let people question experts in their field and get people talking. Plus you can live anywhere in Scotland and also enjoy taking part in our various online groups and activities. These Coffee House chats offer a taster session to better brain health and a way to meet new people.
“Thanks to its digital platform, OAS now provides a modern meeting place for discussion as those vibrant Coffee Houses did in Scotland 300 years ago. It’s apt we introduce a new talking point series in the same year as u3a celebrates its 40th anniversary.”
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
