Leading Scots fiddle exponent Alastair Savage is joined by Orcadian pianist Laurence Wilson for a special concert featuring traditional sounds from Scotland and overseas.
About Alastair Savage & Laurence Wilson: Scotland and Beyond
The concert will include music by legendary fiddle masters Niel Gow and James Scott Skinner alongside melodies from the Scottish islands as well as Ireland and America. The duo first worked together at the St. Magnu Festival in Orkney in 2019 and played at last year’s Edinburgh Festival where they will return this year alongside this Glasgow performance.
Alastair was last year shortlisted for a Scottish Award in New Music and 2022 sees a new album release of entirely original material. His concert performances highlight his own melodies alongside those of yesteryear.
