Paul Tasker is frustrated pianist, playing guitar and co-songwritering with Glasgow’s Doghouse Roses and a previous member of the Willard Grant Conspiracy.
Hearing a lot of classical music during long car journeys as a child kickstarted a love of instrumental music which has carried through into Tasker’s work as a guitarist (it was easier to find a guitar on which to learn music than a piano!),
Influenced by pianists such as Nils Frahm and Ludovico Einaudi, as much as guitarists, most notably, Bert Jansch, has given an individual way of working with music that showcased on Tasker’s 2014 instrumental debut ‘Cold Weather Music’ , and now again on this forthcoming second instrumental album ‘Tierra Quemada’ (Scorched Earth).
