Clyde Opera Group are delighted to present their production of Verdi's La Traviata at the Renfield Centre on 30th & 31st July!
About La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi
La Traviata is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi set to an Italian libretto by Francesco Maria Piave. It is based on La Dame aux camélias, a play by Alexandre Dumas the son, adapted from his own 1848 novel.
Literally translating to 'The Fallen Woman', La Traviata is a tragic tale about Parisian courtesan, Violetta, who attempts to leave the life she knows behind, in an attempt to finally find true love.
