Explore Steph Liddle's fascinating world of clay. Investigate your environment to gather inspiration and develop decorative techniques.
Join Steph Liddle to gather inspiration from the wonderful architecture and nature surrounding Civic House, learn how Steph slip casts her pottery and work on your own surface and pattern designs to decorate your ceramic piece.
She’ll guide and educate, discuss her clay process and leave you with your mind feeling full! Finally you will have the opportunity to show your experiments in our exhibition on Sunday 14th August.
An ‘at home’ version will also be produced which will go on sale shortly after the in-person workshop. As part of this will be a short film.
Supported by Creative Scotland, our next events are a series of 6 workshops and corresponding markets + exhibitions. The workshops will allow an insight to the maker, their skills, inspirations and offer you the opportunity to learn directly from them, while having complete freedom to experiment.
Concrete Nature will be hosting a workshop, 'Print: Pattern + Paper, Collage + Bookbinding', also on Saturday 23rd June, starting at 1.30pm. Tickets available here.
Tea, coffee and cake will be available, however if you are attending both workshops, we advise to bring a packed lunch.
