About Juliet Jacques and Juno Roche In Conversation
Juliet's Front Lines is a collection of her journalism and essays from the last fifteen years, written as one of the first out trans journalists to contribute widely to British and international media. This selection covers queer art, media, and politics, and looks at the rise of the anti-trans backlash in the UK, with a sharp and critical eye, and has much to give in 2022.
Juno Roche's memoir A Working-Class Family Ages Badly charts the author's journey from a difficult childhood to the internationally respected writer on queer matters that they have become today, touching on their father's violence and their mother's addictions and the lasting legacies into adulthood of their difficult childhood in a moving and touching reflection on their life.
The two authors have come together to discuss writing trans nonfiction, the changes they have seen over their lifetimes in trans life and queer writing, different forms of reportage, and much more in a meeting of two brilliant minds.
