Ayurveda is the ‘sister science’ to yoga; an ancient approach to healthcare and medicine, originating in India, that has been around for thousands of years. Ayurveda is a holistic framework for wellbeing that takes into account body, mind and spirit, and aims to bring people back into balance with their unique constitution and with nature.
Often pregnancy is regarded as the end goal of our fertility journey, and pregnant women may be ‘left to it’, with little support or knowledge of how to nourish themselves during this period, contributing to an increase in anxiety and stress for expectant mothers. This is where ayurvedic wisdom has much to offer us, in terms of learning how to have a healthy and empowering pregnancy and birth.
In this 2-hour workshop we’ll be looking at how we can best support ourselves through pregnancy and post-birth using Ayurvedic nutrition and other tools such as breathwork and meditation. If you are already pregnant and seeking further advice on how to strengthen and nourish body and mind, or planning for the future, or simply looking to support someone you know on this journey, this workshop will provide you some practical tips and tools to empower you on this journey.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
