About At the Cathedral - Ayr Choral Union Concert
#Ayr Choral are delighted to be invited back to Glasgow Cathedral to perform alongside Andrew Forbes and Peter Shepherd who will play the Liebeslieder Waltzes by Johannes Brahms piano accompaniment for four hands.
Our musical director Andrew McTaggart will also conduct the choir through repertoire from some of our favourite composers. The music ranges from Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus and Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine to American composer James Mulholland’s simple and beautiful setting of Red Red Rose and the sublime Va Pensiero from the Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves by Giuseppe Verdi.
