This April join our team of community artists as we go on a journey through Amazing Art, learn different artistic styles and techniques, inspired by some famous artists.
Tues 7th April – Jean-Michel Basquiat
Crazy Portraits, Collage + Printing
Get bold and creative! We’ll make quirky, expressive portraits using paper, card and collage scraps, then add exciting prints on top. We’ll explore Basquiat-style words, symbols and bright colours - just like a real street artist!
Wed 8th April - Pablo Picasso
DIY Instrument
Inspired by Picasso’s famous scrap guitar sculptures , we’ll build our own musical instruments from cardboard, tins, tubes and found materials - creating beautiful sounds!
Tuesday 14 April - Salvador Dali
Clay Melted Clocks + Surreal Sculptures
Time to get messy with clay! we’ll be making our own melting clocks and surreal mini-sculptures inspired by Dalí’s dream-like world.
Wednesday 15 April - Henri Rousseau
Jungle Shoebox Scenes + Dinosaurs
Step into the jungle! Creating our own 3D rainforest scenes using a section of materials - filling them with plants, creatures, and even dinosaurs!!
Thurs 16th April - Bridget Riley
Optical Illusions
We’ll explore exciting patterns that trick your eyes, and create our own optical illusion art using bold techniques and styles!
These sessions are drop off and most suitable for young people aged 5-12 (P1-P7).
Have fun, get creative and help us maintain our free term time after school art clubs for local children, here in Govan.
