This Spring Holiday, Creative Hangouts is offering full-day and half-day creative sessions for children (ages 6-10) in a relaxed, supportive studio environment. Our holiday club is designed to spark imagination, build confidence and give children the opportunity to explore a range of creative processes through playful, hands-on activities.
Sessions are led by our Creative Director, Kayleigh McGuinness, a professional artist with over 10 years’ experience working with children across Scotland. Kayleigh is also a trustee at WASPS Artist Studios and recently installed her own permanent public sculpture into the steeple at the Tron Theatre, Glasgow.
Children will explore painting, printmaking, sculpture and illustration, with each day themed to encourage different ways of making and thinking.
Daily Themes:
• Messy Monday - expressive, playful making
• Technical Tuesday - learning skills and techniques
• Wild Wednesday - experimental, imaginative processes
• Thoughtful Thursday - reflective and slower-paced making
• Freestyle Friday - child-led creative exploration

Creative Hangouts provides a welcoming, inclusive environment where children are encouraged to explore their ideas, work at their own pace and enjoy the process of making. Our sessions focus on creativity, wellbeing and confidence, rather than “perfect” outcomes.
Expect laughter, colour, imagination and (likely) some mess!
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
